Please give us some basic information about what this would actually look like. What is the scale in time and space? Is it a hex grid or area move, are units companies or corps, is there an order system or fatigue? What physical arrangement might the game have on table(s) and how many people would be minimum, ideal, maximum?

It is turn based with each turn consisting of several phases. Each turn takes up a day. It is hex based with each hex taking up about 2,000 yards. The unit sizes range from squadron for cav units up to divisions with brigades being the most common. There are leaders usually at the div, corp and army level. No written order system. Conducting marches, attacks and assaults will incur fatigue. If playing a two map game, I think it would take up 4 by 6 feet of table space. Usually it is a 2 player game, but the bigger ones can handle 4 easily. There are campaign games that could take up several days of play and there are scenarios that are only one turn long. The Standard Basic Game Rules version 1.2 are available for download on MMP's website. There is also a folder on Consimworld which covers the series. If I got anything wrong, feel free to point it out.

That is about it. Each hex is basically 1.1 miles across or one mile per hex. Combining two games can create the 1862 campaign from about 8/18 through late September. It is also possible to create the Gettysburg campaign from just before Brandy Station to late July using about 4 maps. The entire Overland campaign can be done including the Shenandoah with about 5 maps. The most efficient way to move is to activate Corps' which then allows divisions in a five hex range to move with one activation. Thus depending on the number of players an army can be broken up into different Corps' or wings or groups possibly including an overall army leader. In other words the system is totally flexible as to the number of players.

As per someone's suggestion I will be bringing all of the games.

Interested players can post and let me know what they would like to do. One of the first posts lists the games.

Time is running short.

Merv,

I saw you were asking for # of tables for others. I will be bringing all of the series games. Just guessing but to set the east maps from southern PA to Petersburg area would be 4-5 tables split in two. Will also be bringing VG's ACW and the Chickamauga /Chattanooga as well. 6-7 total ???
