A Time For Trumpets - Designer is Coming to the Fest!

So an update on A Time for Trumpets... First. Bruno Sinigaglio, the game's designer, will be coming to Winterfest's first weekend to help get our playtest off on the right foot. His resume includes the classic Siege of Jerusalem (for which he won a Charles S. Roberts Award), Battle of the Bulge (AH,...

Re: Wellington's Victory

Greg: I'm interested in the game and would love to learn/play it. Only problem is that I'm not sure how A Time for Trumpets is going to play out when the rubber meets the road. It's I go/you go, but we've talked about splitting the map for our 2 player game (we'd each be Germans for half map, Allies...

Re: Time For Trumpets -- Pre-release Sorta Playtest Opportunity!!

Tom: I'm uncertain here...are the "first time attendees" planning on bringing a commercial copy (assuming the release has happened by then)? The game still isn't out, and in fact although the rules are written they haven't been formatted for the printable rules booklet. Bruno told me the only playte...

Time For Trumpets -- Pre-release Sorta Playtest Opportunity!!

Folks: So I recently met Bruno Sinigaglio, the designer of the "in-final-stages" battalion scale Battle of the Bulge game "A Time for Trumpets." To make a long story short, he has offered us a chance to play the game at Winterfest: He's already sent me the rules and charts, and should the game not b...

Re: Big Games Thoughts for 2019

We've also looked at playing Compass' Montelimar, part of the Company Scale Series. Lee Hanna and I played a turn at Merv's and the game looks fun.

Re: Big Games Thoughts for 2019

I've got two Bulge suggestions: Time for Trumpets, the new battalion level coming from GMT. Though it's not available yet, the designer has sent me rules and charts so we could prep. It'll likely be shipped by the fest but if not he's also offered to ship his playtest kit for Winterfest The Last Bli...
