Re: 1985: Under An Iron Sky Game Prep

Kevin,

I PM'd you. I don't always notice them right away so I'm mentioning it here.

Re: Register your game

I'm thinking that Under an Iron Sky is a non-event this year. We appear to have two players and that's not enough. I am desperate to see this thing though and hope that its being seen will recruit players for next year. Did anyone actually reserve tables for TTW/FB/HC/Crimea and the second TTW-only ...

Re: OCS Third Winter/Forgotten Battles

Another question: if a Soviet unit somehow is in the sectors of two or more fronts and if those fronts are not all on either defensive or offensive posture, is the unit treated as -2AR on attack, +1AR on defense, both, neither? it seems as though this ought to be possible because the front boundary ...

Re: OCS Third Winter/Forgotten Battles

Given that we're playtesting, I have some questions (or implied questions) about the game specific rules: 1.3, 3rd bullet: if an a/c in the Romania Air Box flies and gets shot down, it presumably could be rebuilt anywhere...that contradicts the parenthetical text... 1.9 and the weather chart: the ch...

Re: What We're Bringing!

John, I hadn't noticed that I left my tweezers at your place. I'd have wildly, horribly, awfully missed them if you hadn't thought to bring them.

So please, remember to bring them!

Re: 1985: Under An Iron Sky Game Prep

Kevin, I am really happy with the prospect of playing this thing. I think it looks awesome! I worked my way through the rules twice with the Vassal game in front of me for context and I am impressed with how straightforward and intuitive this game is. Nonetheless, I have a few questions 1- Presuming...

Re: 1985: Under An Iron Sky Game Prep

Kevin, I am excited to sink my teeth into this thing. The rules look organized and complete without being crazy complicated. The genre is becoming relevant again, unfortunately. The mechanics look beautiful and effective. I notice aloud for anyone who might be interested: this is a game that address...

Re: Big Games Thoughts for 2019

Kevin, I've looked enough: if you would like to play 1985: UaIS, I am committed to it. I believe Lee Hanna would also be enthusiastic. That said, you may already be scheduling DAK. If you're going to DAK, please PLEASE PLEASE bring 1985 and let me look through it. I'll try to drum up support to make...

Re: Big Games Thoughts for 2019

Kevin, I'm been looking at Under An Iron Sky on BGG and wherever else I can find information: I am interested in this as a big/main game. Do you have a scan of the rules or charts or really anything that would help explain how the game actually works? There's clearly going to be a learning curve. Gr...
